We’re seeking dedicated professionals to join our New Perspectives Crisis Services team as Crisis Workers. In this role, you’ll provide immediate support to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral health crises through residential crisis services, telephone support, and mobile crisis response. What You’ll Do

As a Crisis Worker , you will: [SPD-BH-112...rvices (1) | Word]

• Provide immediate, compassionate support to individuals experiencing mental or behavioral health crises
• Provide direct client care and support in short-term crisis stabilization and residential settings
• Complete intake assessments, safety evaluations, and individualized crisis stabilization plans
• Monitor individuals’ well-being and help maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment
• Answer crisis calls and provide emotional support, assessment, and crisis intervention
• Use active listening and trauma-informed communication when supporting individuals in distress
• Develop collaborative safety plans and connect individuals with mental health, medical, and community resources
• Respond to individuals experiencing crises in community, home, and other settings through mobile crisis services
• Collaborate with law enforcement, EMS, hospitals, clinical providers, and social service agencies when appropriate
• Provide crisis de-escalation, stabilization interventions, and support in identifying appropriate levels of care
• Assist individuals and families with referrals, community resources, and linkage to ongoing services

QualificationsRequired

Candidates must meet applicable education and experience requirements, which may include:

• Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, nursing, counseling, or a related field, OR
• Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, education, or a related field plus 2 years of behavioral health direct-care experience, OR
• Licensed Registered Nurse, OR
• High School Diploma/GED with at least 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or another social science plus 2 years of human services experience, including 1 year of behavioral health direct-care experience
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
• Ability to meet applicable employment screening and clearance requirements [SPD-BH-112...rvices (1) | Word]

Preferred

• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, crisis intervention, residential care, or human services
• Crisis de-escalation and behavioral intervention skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Basic computer and internet skills
• CPR and First Aid certifications

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Schedule flexibility based on program needs
• Evening and weekend availability may be required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, twist, and climb stairs as required
• Ability to drive a vehicle and respond within community-based environments
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting requirements
