Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our hospital-affiliated rehabilitation clinic in the heart of Lakewood, NJ. You will become part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities that promote physical well-being and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and home exercise programs, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, which may include electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, in adherence to guidance from the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking key metrics like range of motion and functional improvements on a regular basis.
• Maintain organized treatment areas, ensuring that therapy equipment and supplies are readily available and in excellent condition for patient care.
• Collaborate effectively within the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients, fostering a positive rehabilitation atmosphere that encourages progress.
• Adhere to ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and demonstrating respect for patient rights at all times.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

• Proven ability to implement therapeutic exercises and modalities effectively under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits
