Summary This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland . Duties Regulates officer and enlisted manning and promotions, military education, and the family care program. Manages all military personnel assigned to the Agency. Manages, identifies, and prioritizes officers and enlisted vacancies and assigned billets. Coordinates with respective agencies on dates for promotions, schools, and assignments. Responsible for assisting employees, technicians, and senior leadership in interpreting regulations to determine eligibility for assignments, promotions, military pay, reductions, and incentives. Develops and maintains an annual schedule of convening board dates, eligibility criteria, and suspenses. Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen or National This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination. Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance Qualifications For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service. In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Specialized Experience For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service. Specialized Experience at the GS-12 is defined as reviewing and processing military personnel actions; and advising on military policies, leave, pay, deployment, and duty rosters.
