Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician — Lake Hallie, WIA day in the life

As the evening shift gets underway, you’ll gear up for hands-on work that turns individual metal parts into finished products. You’ll read blueprints and work instructions, select the right hand and power tools, and assemble components with accuracy. Throughout your shift, you’ll perform in-process quality checks, collaborate with teammates to streamline steps, and keep your station spotless for peak safety and efficiency. If you spot something off, you’ll flag it quickly so the team can keep moving.

2nd shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 pm – 2:00 am

• Build metal subassemblies and finished units to spec and quality targets.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
• Verify accuracy with routine quality checks before moving work downstream.
• Partner with peers to improve assembly flow, fixtures, and productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Communicate any variances, defects, or shortages to your supervisor right away.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Assembly or manufacturing experience is helpful, not required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results.
• Clear communicator and reliable team contributor.
• Physical ability to lift and move components as needed.
