Director of Engineering (Complex AI & Agentic Systems)

Salary: USD230,000 – USD280,000 per annum + Equity + Medical + Dental + 401(k) + PTO + Progression. Location: Miami, Florida. Work schedule: 5 days a week onsite.

This venture‑backed Agentic AI company is raising over $50 million to date and aims to enter Series C. The role leads four engineering teams across Application, Intelligence, Communication, and Platform Engineering, overseeing approximately 6 engineers in total, working closely with the VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate four engineering teams across core layers: Application, Intelligence, Communication, and Platform Engineering.
• Scale a deep‑tech, AI‑native platform built on distributed systems and real‑time infrastructure, embedding AI across the stack for intelligent decision‑making, system efficiency, and continuous optimisation.
• Help develop and maintain a modern tech stack including Vercel, Supabase, Node.js, React, Python, and FastAPI.
• Promote a culture of ownership, high performance, and technical excellence across teams.
