Equal Employment Specialist

Duties included, but are not limited to:

• Provides a wide range of administrative and technical support to ensure EEO program activities are administered and implemented for medical center leadership and staff.
• Develops and presents training programs and provides advice on EEO and affirmative employment issues affecting the facility.
• Develops and maintains statistical data on the complaint process; responds to inquiries from complainants and officials; conducts analysis of demographic trends; and maintains contact with the Office of Resolution Management, managers, supervisors, and the Regional Council.
• Reviews and updates EEO policies and guidance as needed.
• Provides program support and administrative assistance, including coordinating and planning logistics for meetings and training.
• Reviews and implements projects affecting facility operations and assesses program effectiveness through periodic review.
• Prepares correspondence for senior officials' signatures; reviews and drafts correspondence and reports.
• Designs, implements, and facilitates EEO-related training; provides support to the EEO Manager.
• Provides advisory services to all levels of management on EEO program requirements and implications, and advises managers/supervisors on how services support their missions.
• Assists with management of Special Emphasis Programs.
• Drafts EEO Program Status Reports, the Federal Equal Opportunity Recruitment Program (FEORP) report, the Disabled Veterans Affirmative Action Plan (DVAAP), and other required EEO reports.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm

Telework: This position may be authorized for ad hoc telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
