The Receiving & Inventory Specialist for the Test & Fill Facility is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, inventory control, and storage of materials that support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), operational readiness for the Natrium Test & Fill Facility. This role ensures that materials are available, correctly documented, and properly stored to meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements for the Natrium program.

The successful candidate will establish and maintain robust receiving and inventory processes, coordinate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and EHS to maintain robust material control, support SAT execution, and uphold TerraPower's standards for nuclear-related and safety-significant components for a first-of-a-kind Test & Fill Facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and log all incoming materials against POs and packing lists.
• Perform receipt inspections to defined criteria; verify certifications, documentation, and part identification.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming or damaged materials; coordinate returns and dispositions.
• Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records in TerraPower systems, including traceability data where required.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies; support audits of inventory accuracy.
• Stage and kit materials for Test & Fill operations and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) in alignment with schedules and work orders.
• Coordinate availability, staging, and timely issue of materials, components, and consumables for SAT activities.
• Ensure that materials used in SAT are properly received, inspected, traceable, and documented.
• Capture and file material-related SAT records (e.g., as-used lists, certificates, inspection reports) to support configuration management.
• Implement proper storage, labeling, and status identification to protect material integrity and prevent unintended use.
• Apply special storage and handling requirements (environmental controls, segregation, hazardous materials handling) per procedures and supplier/engineering requirements.
• Monitor shelf life and condition of stored materials; coordinate replacement of expired or compromised items.
• Follow TerraPower EHS, quality, and material control procedures; support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, QA, EHS, and Supply Chain to plan material needs and resolve issues.
• Contribute to improvements in receiving, inspection, inventory, and storage processes and tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics in an industrial, manufacturing, or technical environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform detailed receipt inspections and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP platforms, and proficiency with common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, word processing).
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical documentation (purchase orders, packing lists, datasheets, drawings, and specifications).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations, engineering, QA, and EHS personnel.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials and to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) after appropriate training and certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a highly regulated environment such as nuclear, aerospace, defense, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of quality assurance principles, material traceability, and configuration control; familiarity with NQA-1 or similar quality frameworks is a plus.
• Experience supporting test facilities, commissioning activities, or Site Acceptance Testing, particularly related to material management and documentation.
• Experience establishing or refining receiving and inventory processes for new or evolving facilities.

Salary Range: $63,120 - $81,975 Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Wyoming State.
