Job Overview

A Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) is a medical expert focused on delivering comprehensive healthcare to individuals of all ages within a family context. This role serves as the primary healthcare provider, addressing a wide array of medical issues, promoting preventive care, and catering to the diverse health requirements of patients throughout their lives.

• Patient Care: Perform detailed medical evaluations and assessments. Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic health conditions. Provide routine check-ups and preventive healthcare services.

• Health Promotion and Education: Inform patients about healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention strategies. Discuss appropriate screenings and vaccinations based on age.

• Chronic Disease Management: Oversee and support patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. Collaborate with specialists as necessary.

• Family-Centered Care: Encourage open dialogue to address family health issues. Work alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.

• Record Keeping: Keep precise and current medical records for all patients.

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not involve supervisory duties.

Education Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of three years of residency training in Family Medicine.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current unrestricted State Medical License.

• Board certification in Family Medicine.

• Current State D.E.A. Certificate.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Dedication to ongoing medical education and staying updated on advancements in family medicine.

• Willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet patient needs.
