Job Description

Job duties include operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, cleaning equipment and facility, delivering product by car, and delivering flyers and door hangers. Requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle for delivery, passing a background check, and having open availability. Training orientation and training provided on the job. Communication skills include the ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions, communicate verbally with customers and co-workers, and train and lead. Essential functions/skills include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing accurately, making correct monetary change, verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders, motor coordination, navigational skills, and ability to maintain cost controls.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas, sudden changes in temperature, fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk-in cooler, hot surfaces/tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing includes talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, depth perception, and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments include directing activities, performing repetitive tasks, working along and with others, working under stress, meeting strict quality control standards, dealing with people, analyzing and compiling data, making judgments and decisions. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, and hand tasks are also part of the job.
