Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Emergency Room - Registered Nurse

Schedule: Shift: Nights - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/wk for 3x12; 48 hrs/wk for 4x12

Requirements: Minimum 2 years RN experience - State license: IL - Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), PALS, NIH (NIHSS) - Preferred: CPI, TNCC - Key clinical skills: airway management/intubation, ventilator care, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia recognition/management, procedural sedation monitoring, vascular access/IV starts, triage, trauma and code team participation

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care in an emergency room setting for a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver organized and cohesive patient care. Manage emergency situations with timely and appropriate clinical interventions. Conduct triage assessments and determine patient acuity levels effectively. Document all care provided in compliance with facility policies and procedures. Participate in continuous education and training to maintain clinical competence.

Compliance / Notes: RTO: Max 7 days per 13-week contract (no RTO first week; additional RTO rules apply) - Orientation: 24 hours - Scrub color: Navy - Fit testing: Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing (may be required to shave)
