Additional information on current job openings is available at Role Description The Ready-Mix Dispatcher is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Seattle Area, responsible for coordinating and scheduling ready-mix concrete deliveries to meet project timelines and customer requirements. In this role, the dispatcher receives and processes orders, assigns trucks and drivers, and adjusts schedules throughout the day to respond to changing jobsite needs, traffic conditions, and plant production. The position involves regular communication with customers, drivers, plant personnel, and project managers to ensure accurate order information, efficient routing, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The dispatcher also monitors delivery status, updates dispatch systems, resolves logistical issues, and documents relevant information for reporting and billing purposes. This role requires consistent attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Qualifications Experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation scheduling, ideally within ready-mix, construction, or related industries. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, internal teams, and external clients. Proficiency with dispatch or scheduling software, basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets), and accurate data entry. Solid organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple orders and adapt to changing field conditions. Knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns in the Greater Seattle Area, and an understanding of construction jobsite operations. Commitment to safety practices, compliance with company policies, and reliability in attendance and performance. High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or experience in logistics, construction management, or business is beneficial.
