Burlingame Family Pet Hospital is growing, and we are excited to welcome an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to our team! This role primarily supports our General Practice service with some overlap supporting Urgent Care, offering hands‑on experience with a variety of cases and the chance to fully utilize your technical skill set. Our ideal candidate is an RVT with a growth mindset who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable engaging with clients. As part of our team, you responsibilities will include support for appointments, surgeries, and dental procedures as well as triage, emergency case support, and treatment planning. Schedule: This is a full-time position scheduled for four 10-hour shifts per week, Wednesday through Saturday. Full-time benefits and compensation**: Compensation: $35-40 per hour, for each hour worked* Shift differential: Additional $2/hr on weekends and weekdays after 7pm CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA option and choice of United Healthcare or Kaiser Permanente Competitive PTO: Vacation accrual of 80 hours per year (based on full‑time hours worked) plus paid holidays and California Sick Time Life insurance, disability, and 401k options Employee Assistance Program Minimum qualifications and skill set: 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Current Registered Veterinary Technician License in the state of California Proficiency in the following skills: Venipuncture and cystocentesis Placing IV catheters and administering injections Dental prophy, charting and radiographs Anesthetic induction and monitoring In house laboratory processing including microscopy About our hospital: At Burlingame Family Pet Hospital, we provide a complete range of services to companion animals in the California Bay Area.
