Data AnalystAs a Data Analyst at The Clearing, you will be at the forefront of integrating data insights with strategic consulting to create impactful change. In this role, you won't just tick boxes; you'll embody a mindset that thrives on solving complex problems and driving progress. You will lead tasks, create deliverables, and collaborate across teams to infuse scientific thinking into our consulting work, always aiming for real progress over perfection. You will support client decision-making and improve processes through data insights, accuracy, and integrity.What You'll DoUtilize data analysis to support strategic change initiatives, identify operational performance trends, and present value-add recommendationsTranslate client objectives into clear, data-centered strategies, using non-technical language.Analyze trends, clean and prepare datasets, and ensure data quality through peer Quality Assurance (QA) reviewsSupport enterprise data integration efforts across all enterprise applicationsDesign and maintain data models to support enterprise analytics and reportingAssist with the development of enterprise data governance, reporting standards, frameworks, data definitions, and dashboard best practicesDevelop compelling reports and presentations that effectively integrate data, business intelligence, and visualizations (including dashboards, charts, and graphs) to communicate insightsPerform advanced coding in tools such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, R, Python, and SQLDesign and implement intelligent workflows and solutions using tools like Zapier, Pickaxe, and Lovable, with a focus on integrating AI large language models (LLMs) into business processes and user-facing applicationsMaintain strong client relationships, support business development efforts, and expand project scopes by sharing insights on emerging trends and market developmentsLead and facilitate client meetingsManage project lanes and tasksThe projected salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $110,000 annually. Actual compensation and starting salaries are determined based on various factors, including the candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and clearance level, as well as internal equity. Once at The Clearing, movement through pay bands is based on performance. Base annual salary is just one component of The Clearing's total compensation philosophy and approach. Please refer to our Careers Page online for a complete list of benefits.Active DoD Secret Clearance (or one that's been active within the past two years)Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical, analytical, or social science fieldFour (4) + years of relevant experience, preferably in the management consulting industry or another client-facing environmentDemonstrated expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization for decision-makingProficiency in analysis and presentation tools—Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Word/Docs; familiarity with Google Suite is a plusWorking knowledge of BI tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, and TableauFoundational knowledge and understanding of business data analysis and assessment to evaluate business opportunities, risks, and potential outcomesExperience in managing client relationships and delivering customer-focused solutionsWillingness and ability to travel to and work at a client site in Alexandria, VAMust be legally eligible to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the futureThe Clearing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
