ABOUT VIBRANT INFRASTRUCTURE

Vibrant Infrastructure develops, builds, owns, and operates critical infrastructure end to end — identifying opportunities, securing sites, obtaining entitlements, designing facilities, building them, generating power, and operating the assets directly. One team, the whole stack. The work is built to leave its surroundings better than it found them. Projects target overlooked land in towns that have gone decades without real investment, engineered to give back more than they take: a lasting tax base, new public infrastructure, parks and trails, and steady revenue that funds teachers, first responders, and local services. The net benefit to the community is the model, not a footnote. This is an early-stage company. The modeling standards, templates, and workflows that will support hundreds of millions of dollars of infrastructure have not been built yet. Whoever takes this seat builds them.

THE ROLE

This is a hands‑on modeling role. You are the person in Revit every day, producing the models and the documentation — not a manager directing a team of modelers. You own digital design across the company: building the models, coordinating the disciplines, and turning rough concepts into coordinated, buildable, construction‑ready drawings. Your work runs through every phase of a project — site evaluation, due diligence, entitlement, design, permitting, construction, and handover to operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Modeling & Documentation (the core of the job) Build and maintain federated Revit models from concept through construction completion — architectural, structural, and multidisciplinary. Produce coordinated, construction‑ready drawing sets: plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and sheets for permitting and construction. Turn rough concepts, sketches, and redlines into accurate, buildable models — fast. Develop site layouts, massing studies, and development concepts for prospective acquisitions. Generate quantities and takeoffs directly from the model. Coordinate architecture, structure, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and utility infrastructure within the model. Run clash detection and constructability reviews in Navisworks (or equivalent) and resolve conflicts before they reach the field. Work directly with consultants, engineers, and contractors to close out design issues. Run coordination reviews and track issues to completion. Standards, Templates & Quality Build and maintain the company's Revit templates, family libraries, and standardized components. Set BIM standards, naming conventions, and a BIM Execution Plan for each project. Run model audits and QC checks to hold accuracy and consistency across projects. Build repeatable systems and reusable assemblies so every project models faster than the last. Field & Construction Support Generate the 2D drawings, schedules, and exhibits needed for permitting, construction, and operations. Support RFIs, submittals, and field coordination through construction. Travel to project sites and verify field conditions against the model. Keep model fidelity intact from design through handover. Automation Build Dynamo workflows and automation that cut out repetitive modeling work. Use computational design and other tools to push speed, consistency, and accuracy. Bring in new tools and workflows that raise the technical standard of the work.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Demonstrated modeling ability matters far more than years on a résumé. The right person has personally produced coordinated construction documents on real projects, knows how buildings actually go together, and works without supervision — the one others call when the model breaks, the coordination gets messy, or a project starts slipping. Equally comfortable talking structural grids with an engineer, constructability with a superintendent, and automation with a developer. You likely have: 5+ years personally producing construction documentation in Revit — hands‑on, not oversight. Deep understanding of building systems and construction sequencing. Strong layout and space‑planning ability. Excellent visual communication and a high bar for detail. A genuine ownership mentality.

BONUS POINTS

Architecture or structural/civil engineering background (degree or equivalent track record). Experience on mission‑critical, industrial, energy, or other large‑scale projects. BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional). Dynamo, Revit family creation, or other BIM automation. MEP coordination in high‑density power and cooling environments. Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, Revizto, or similar platforms. Experience tying BIM data into downstream workflows — prefabrication, 4D scheduling, 5D cost, asset handover.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

In‑office by default. When you're putting real infrastructure in the ground, the model has to stay honest against the field — and that happens fastest shoulder to shoulder. This role is based at the Ridgefield, Connecticut office, with regular travel to project sites. Exceptional candidates outside the area are still worth a conversation; for the right person, there's an arrangement that works.
