About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in medical-surgical nursing License: Active registered nurse license complying with NLC guidelines Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Minimum 1 year of travel experience Description: This position involves working in a medical-surgical overflow unit. Experience in post-surgical and observation care is required. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 or 1:7 during shifts. The unit is transitioning to team nursing, and LPNs will be hired to assist in this process. Candidates with prior charge experience will be preferred. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. Candidates accepted for this position must be able to work weekends as needed. The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients. The daily census is approximately 42 patients. This unit offers interdisciplinary support from multiple services. Travelers are required to have completed at least one previous travel assignment.
