The PA will perform duties as first assist in the OR under the direction of the Orthopedic Surgeon. This position consists of 2 days/week in Carmel in clinic.One day per week in Greenwood in clinic. 2 days per week in Carmel in the OR. Essential functions Obtains, compiles, and records patient medical data, health history, progress notes, and results of the examination Instructs and counsels patients about the prescribed therapeutic regimens Assists Orthopedic Surgeon during surgery Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities) a strong desire to practice patient-centered medicine an eagerness to work with team members an high degree of initiative, discretion and judgment an ability to multitask and effectively manage competing demands an overall commitment to excellence. Work environment Typical professional medical clinic environment Ambulatory Surgery Center Physical demands Must be able to lift at least 50+ lbs.
