Human Resources Generalist

Serve as the primary contact for routine employee questions about policies, benefits, HR systems, workplace processes, and general HR needs Support routine employee relations matters and escape complex, sensitive, high-risk, or recurring concerns to the HR Business Partner Administer HR policies and explain company expectations and resources Prepare and maintain documentation for hires, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, terminations, and other employee actions Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and employment documentation Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including postings, applicant review, candidate communication, interview coordination, offers, and pre-employment activities Partner with hiring managers and the HR Business Partner on position requirements and recruiting processes Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, documentation, system access, and follow-up Support employee benefits administration, enrollment, qualifying life events, eligibility changes, and annual open enrollment Coordinate employee leave processes and required documentation and communications Process employee status and payroll-related changes and coordinate with payroll and finance Coordinate employee offboarding, including documentation, system updates, benefit notifications, equipment-return communication, and exit processes Maintain employee information in the HRIS, including records, position information, organizational data, workflows, and updates Prepare routine and ad hoc HR reports and review workforce data for completeness and accuracy Maintain employment, compliance, training, certification, and policy-acknowledgment records Coordinate performance reviews, goal setting, engagement surveys, and talent reviews Identify process challenges and improvement opportunities and bring recommendations to the HR Business Partner Support special HR projects and company initiatives Requirements 3+ years of HR generalist, HR coordinator, or HR operations experience, with demonstrated growth in HR responsibilities Working knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, HRIS administration, leave administration, and employment compliance Comfortable serving as an approachable and trusted resource for employees at all levels Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail Clear, professional, and empathetic communication Sound judgment and ability to identify matters requiring escalation Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information appropriately Comfort working within HR systems and using data and reporting tools Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to improve processes and balance responsive employee support with consistent policy application Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (nice to have) SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification (nice to have) Experience with Paylocity or another HRIS/payroll platform (nice to have) Experience supporting HR within a growing, technical, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based organization (nice to have) Experience supporting recruiting across professional and technical positions (nice to have) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in HR generalist functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HRIS administration, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
