This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while still fostering a collaborative and engaged team spirit. As a part of our Community Health Clinic, you will join a network of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services. Our work hours run from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends, ensuring we meet the needs of our students and their families. Flexibility to be on call may be required during mental health emergencies.

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments for students with various special needs and develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to treat conditions such as ASD, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma, ensuring each intervention is suited to the individual student.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting emotional regulation, personal growth, and effective coping strategies for students.
\n
• Work collaboratively with educators, speech and occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure an integrated approach to student care.
\n
• Deliver crisis interventions and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stability for students.
\n
• Educate students and families about mental health conditions, coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster a better understanding and proactive engagement.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards and organizational policies.
\n
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing staff development activities to enhance professional competencies and share best practices.
\n
• Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health treatment.
\n

This role primarily focuses on students with a range of special needs, including those facing challenges such as ASD, ADHD, and emotional and behavioral disorders. Your work will directly influence their educational experiences and overall mental health, fostering an environment where they can thrive both academically and socially.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Virginia.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and formulating treatment plans reflective of best practices.
\n
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
\n
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, sound judgment, and a commitment to ethics.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong computer proficiency.
\n
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team approach to mental health care.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably within school-based mental health programs.

• Background in delivering trauma-informed care and therapeutic interventions specific to children and adolescents.

The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
