• Experience Needed: Minimum 2 years ICU experience, CVICU experience highly preferred
• Special Requirements: Epic experience required, Impella and CRRT/NXSTage are mandatory, float to all ICUs and occasionally to ED or PACU, weekends required (4 per 4-week schedule)

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality ICU patient care, focusing on CVICU and critical care needs
• Manage patients with Impella and CRRT machines, ensuring optimal hemodynamic stability
• Perform routine lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts to support patient treatment plans
• Operate advanced equipment including Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, and dialysis machines
• Monitor patients with Edwards Lifesciences cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD systems, GE monitors, and more
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, safe patient care
• Adapt to float assignments, including ICUs, ED, PACU, and MS/PCU units as needed
• Follow infection control protocols, including care for isolation patients and use of N95 masks

What You Need

• Licensed Registered Nurse holding current RN license in Louisiana
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH certifications (CPI can be obtained at the facility for $100)
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience, with CVICU experience preferred
• Proficiency in Epic EMR system
• Ability to care for isolation patients and understand COVID-19 protocols
• Comfortable with various ICU equipment and ventilator management

Preferred:

• Experience with Impella and CRRT/NXSTage devices
• Flexibility to float across units and work weekends
