Senior Audit Maplewood, MO | $80,000–$100,000 salary Schedule: Hybrid (60% Onsite / 40% Remote after 60 days) | Monday–Friday About the Opportunity We’re partnering with a well-established, full-service public accounting firm headquartered in Maplewood, MO. For over five decades, the firm has proudly served the region with comprehensive tax, audit, and advisory services built on a foundation of integrity, collaboration, and excellence. They’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing Audit team. This is a client‑facing role that offers a mix of leadership responsibility, professional growth, and a people‑first culture where collaboration and mentorship are central. You’ll work with a dynamic and supportive audit group—an outgoing team known for teamwork and a commitment to excellence. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and perform compilation, review, and audit engagements for a diverse client base. Examine and verify financial records for compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and provide recommendations for process and control improvements. Serve as an “in‑charge” auditor on engagements, reviewing staff work and guiding team members. Research and resolve audit and accounting issues of intermediate complexity. Assist in developing and coaching junior staff to enhance technical and professional skills. Contribute to strong client relationships through responsive communication and excellent service delivery. Manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy. What They’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. CPA candidate or near completion preferred. Minimum of 3+ years of public accounting experience. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience on engagements preferred. Experience with tax preparation/review a plus. Strong knowledge of audit principles, GAAP, and attest services. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and client service orientation.
