Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Schedule: Full Time | 1st Shift | Rotating Schedule 4 Ten Hour Shifts (6am-4pm) & 3 Twelve Hour Shifts (6am-6pm) | Includes Every Other Weekend | Some Holidays Required
Compensation: $21-26/hr, Dependent On Experience | Higher Wages Available for VTS-Credentialed Technicians | Weekend Shift Differential $1.50/hr

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will:
Partner closely with veterinarians to provide exceptional care for ICU patients with complex and specialized medical needs.
Safely restrain patients for examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
Deliver advanced nursing care to hospitalized and critically ill patients, monitoring their condition and responding to changes.
Perform blood draws, collect diagnostic samples, and assist with laboratory testing as needed.
Accurately administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols and veterinarian instructions.
Participate in advanced CPR efforts and maintain readiness to respond during medical emergencies.
Communicate with clients professionally, providing patient updates, discharge instructions, and education to support ongoing care at home.
Collaborate with veterinarians and the hospital team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced specialty environment.
What You Bring:
Veterinary Technician License (LVT, CVT, or RVT) is required
Foundational veterinary knowledge, including patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, and venipuncture.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
Provide excellent customer service and interact with clients in a manner that supports NIVES mission to provide the highest quality veterinary specialty and emergency medicine for small animals.
Work with fellow team members to maintain a productive, positive and respectful environment. All technical staff, regardless of the level of experience, must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (12 hours), and lift a minimum of twenty five pounds.
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
