About this position: Field Superintendent Location – Anchorage, AK

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards.
- Direct and supervise daily construction activities on assigned projects.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance.
- Monitor quality control and workmanship throughout all phases of construction.
- Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules.
- Conduct daily site inspections and coordinate correctie actions as needed.
- Lead project meetings, toolbox talks, and progress updates.
- Manage subcontractor’s performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, and equipment utilization.
- Track project progress and communicate schedule impacts, risks, and issues to management.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documents.
- Interface with owners, clients, engineers, inspectors, and government representatives.
- Promote a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Train, mentor, and oversee field personnel.
- Handle employee personal information
- Coordinate with Human Resources on an as needed basis
- Work directly with Project Management and assist with project coordinating
- Execute Purchase Orders
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors
- Complete credit card statements
- Assist with transferring personnel from project to project
- Schedule housing and travel for project to project
- Code and approve invoices
- Manage project billing
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
- Education Requirements: Level of Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional construction management education preferred
- Level of Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional construction management education preferred.
- Minimum 10–12 years of construction industry experience.
- Minimum 5–6 years of superintendent or field supervision experience.
- Experience leading commercial, civil, industrial, or federal construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety requirements, and quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

- Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on active construction sites in various weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Ability to climb ladders, access elevated work areas, and navigate uneven terrain.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to travel as required by project needs.

- Exposure to weather conditions, noise, dust, and heavy equipment operations.

- This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

Candidates must be able to perform the following: Work for extended periods will standing, traverse uneven ground surfaces (normally attributed to a construction jobsite) without restrictions, lift/load/secure construction materials, have sufficient hearing and vision to work safely in/around construction equipment and tools, and be able to work outdoors in inclement conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain). Additionally, they may be asked to travel to jobsite via light-duty vehicle, small aircraft, or marine vessel.

Additional Qualifying Factors
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
