IT Security Specialist III - Hybrid 3x

IT Security Specialist III Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite) Role Overview This role focuses on IT security and infrastructure automation , with a strong emphasis on Kafka platform engineering and deployment across public and private cloud environments . The specialist will design and implement secure, scalable solutions while automating infrastructure using Terraform, Python, and Ansible . The role requires collaboration across engineering, operations, and application teams to deliver secure messaging platforms and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards. Core Skills & Experience Infrastructure Automation & DevOps Strong hands-on experience with: Terraform Python / Ansible automation Experience developing and maintaining: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Test automation frameworks Proficiency with: Ansible Playbooks Ansible Tower Messaging & Middleware Strong experience with: Kafka (Confluent Kafka preferred) Familiarity with: MQ / IIB TIBCO Understanding of messaging protocols and application integration Cloud & Platforms Experience with: Public and private cloud environments Ability to manage large-scale enterprise deployments Operating Systems & Scripting Working knowledge of: Linux / UNIX Shell scripting Security & Access Management Basic knowledge of: Ping Access Certificate management Experience applying: IT security policies and standards Risk identification and mitigation practices Monitoring & Observability Familiarity with: Dynatrace AppDynamics Additional Technical Skills Exposure to: Java / J2EE Experience working in: Agile development environments Key Responsibilities Design and implement infrastructure automation solutions for Kafka environments Develop and maintain Terraform, Python, and Ansible-based automation Deploy and manage Confluent Kafka platforms in cloud environments Collaborate with: Application development teams Engineering and operations teams Gather and document business and technical requirements Design secure, scalable, and risk-based solutions Develop and execute test automation strategies Troubleshoot and resolve deployment and performance issues Analyze and enforce IT security standards and policies Identify security risks and vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work across multiple teams and organizational levels Results-oriented with a focus on secure, scalable delivery Strong communication and documentation skills High level of technical agility and adaptability #J-18808-Ljbffr
