BDC Sales Agent

$40,000.00 To $60,000.00 Annually Job Summary The BDC Sales Consultant is responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and distributing information from both inbound and outbound calls, to include but not limited to inquiries on new and pre‑owned vehicles, internet leads, and providing general information. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Additional duties as assigned) Handle all guest inquiries with a focus on 100% guest satisfaction. Receive inbound calls on new and pre‑owned vehicles with a goal to establish a firm appointment date and time from the prospect guest to visit dealership. Project a friendly and helpful demeanor while answering questions and inquiries from guests and providing general or related vehicle sales information. Maintain and communicate exceptional product and inventory knowledge to our guests. Gather and track all guest data as directed; accurately enter BDC database. Utilize detailed scripts provided by the dealership in addressing guest inquiries and concerns to meet the dealership's and manufacturers objectives. Facilitate timely follow up on all internet leads as directed by management and/or procedures. Strictly adhere to all company direction related to the National Do Not Call List and Privacy Acts. Partner with BDC Manager on activities in the dealership / outside the call center. Communicate with the dealership management or front‑line employees on behalf of our guests. Greet walk‑in customers and direct them to the appropriate staff members. Answer inbound phone calls and route them to the desired department. Required Experience and Education High School Diploma or GED. Additional Requirements Valid Driver License. Required Skills and Attributes Communication and interpersonal skills. Time‑management and organizational abilities. Problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities. Financial and accounting knowledge. Automotive sales and customer service knowledge. Equipment, Machines and Software Used Computer software: Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and CDK. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, bend, kneel, climb and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists. Will stand and move throughout the dealership facility (lot, showroom, service department, offices) for most of the shift. Will spend time outdoors showing vehicles to prospective customers and to drive vehicles in traffic during test drives. Physical Exertion Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Light exertion can involve sitting, walking and/or standing most of the time. Environmental Conditions Work is performed in a dealership setting (lot, showroom, service department and offices). Occasional weekend and evening hours are required. Hazards and Safety Precautions Hazards: Slips, trips and falls, ergonomic injuries, and occasional lifting. Safety Precautions: Breaks are encouraged to allow for stretching and training is provided covering slips, trips, and falls, safe lifting and stretching techniques.
