Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician

Job Summary The Division of Pediatric Critical Care at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist. The successful candidate will join our staff of 6 full‑time Board‑Certified Intensivists and 2 full‑time physician assistants. Candidates must possess superior clinical and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to participate in program development, research, and medical education. Candidates ideally should have 5 years post‑fellowship experience, but recent fellowship graduates will be considered. Experience and/or interest in pediatric quality and safety leadership is desired. Job Duties Division members are active leaders throughout the Children’s Hospital. Our Division provides leadership in essential programs including chronic ventilation, palliative care, respiratory care, sedation services and simulation. All Division members take an active role in the education of pediatric, med/peds, emergency medicine residents, medical students, and mid‑level practitioners. Faculty appointment commensurate with experience is available through Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Our division enjoys exceptionally collegial relationships with a full array of medical and surgical subspecialists. Our well‑established Pediatric Hospitalist Division provides outstanding post‑PICU care. Education Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine—(Required) Experience 5 years post‑fellowship experience preferred; recent fellowship graduates considered. Certification(s) and License(s) Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania.
