Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. A BSN is preferred. The unit is a 225-bed specialty care facility. The hospital includes various specialized services. The position involves caring for adult patients only (18 years and older). The patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 1:5. Nurses are expected to work weekends and holidays. Float requirements to Medical/Cardiac/Neuro-Ortho units apply. Candidates should be able to handle a variety of patient conditions. Common diagnoses include chest pain, asthma exacerbations, TIAs, abdominal pain, urinary issues, blood sugar issues, DVT/PE, cellulitis, and post-procedural monitoring. Telemetry experience is preferred. Dress code is galaxy blue scrubs. Attendance is crucial, and failures to meet attendance will result in disciplinary actions. All absences must be made up to maintain contracted hours. The contract may be terminated if attendance requirements are not met or professional conduct standards are violated.
