Medical Assistant Opportunity

Porch Light Health is a respected leader in the outpatient treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) and other addictive disorders. We provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and behavioral health services, helping patients discover their purpose and build a healthy community. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing team in a fast-paced, dynamic medical setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Booking and Rescheduling patients
• Managing prior authorizations and patient communication
• Patient Vitals
• Injections
• Work as an insurance liaison
• Communicate with providers on a respectful and professional level
• Administrative work
• Managing and operating clinic including but not limited to cleaning, managing paperwork and data
• Opening and closing facility
• Guiding patients through new paperwork and contracts and medical protocols

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in Google Suite
• Be willing to understand and navigate multiple patient medical record platforms
• Certified Medical Assistant
• Reliable transportation and willing to travel to multiple rural locations within the area
• Active Driver's License
• Proper time management
• Reliable and Dependable

Schedule

• 8 hour shift, Tues-Saturday

Work Setting

• In-person- Pueblo Clinic and Mobile Unit
• Pueblo Mobile Units Locations: Las Animas, Walsenburg, Canon City, Trinidad, La Junta

Education

• High school or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification
