Human Resources Generalist IIJob Location - Remote/El Paso, TX Duration - 11 months Experience - 3–6 YearsPosition SummaryThe Global Mobility Specialist manages end-to-end domestic and international mobility cases, delivering a compliant, cost-effective, and employee-centered experience. This role partners with employees, managers, HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external providers to coordinate immigration, relocation, tax, compensation, and assignment activities. The ideal candidate brings 3–6 years of relevant experience, sound judgment, strong case ownership, and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear guidance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of domestic and international transfers, new-hire relocations, short- and long-term assignments, permanent moves, and repatriations from initiation through closure.Serve as the primary point of contact for mobile employees and their families, providing timely guidance on policies, benefits, required actions, estimated timelines, and escalation paths.Coordinate immigration matters with internal stakeholders and external counsel, including renewals, permanent residence support, document collection, expiration tracking, and compliance follow-up.Partner with internal/external teams in relocation, tax, immigration, payroll, and destination-service providers; monitor service quality, resolve issues, validate invoices, and support vendor performance reviews.Coordinate assignment compensation, allowances, payroll instructions, tax equalization inputs, benefits, and other mobility-related payments with Payroll, Finance, Total Rewards, and tax providers.Interpret and apply mobility policies consistently while identifying exceptions, documenting decisions, and escalating higher-risk or precedent-setting cases.Maintain accurate and confidential case records, employee data, immigration documents, cost estimates, approvals, and audit-ready documentation in mobility and HR systems.Track key dates, case status, spend, employee experience, and compliance risks; prepare recurring reports and actionable insights for program stakeholders.Contribute to policy updates, process improvements, system enhancements, employee communications, training materials, and mobility program initiatives.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, International Relations, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.3–6 years of experience in global mobility, immigration, relocation, expatriate tax, international HR, or a related discipline.Working knowledge of mobility lifecycle activities, including immigration, relocation, assignment administration, payroll coordination, taxation, and compliance.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently in a fast-paced, confidential environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly to employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and customer-service skills, with close attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using HRIS, case-management, or global mobility platforms.PreferredExperience in an in-house global mobility function, relocation management company, immigration provider, tax firm, or multinational organization.Familiarity with global and U.S. immigration processes and exposure to mobility requirements in additional countries or regions such as China, Taiwan, Poland, Mexico, and Canada.Experience with mobility cost estimates, payroll instructions, tax-provider coordination, vendor invoicing, or program reporting.Global Mobility Specialist (GMS), Certified Relocation Professional (CRP), PHR, SHRM-CP, or comparable certification.Experience supporting policy or process design, system implementation, audit readiness, or vendor governance.Core CompetenciesCase ownership: Drives cases forward, anticipates risks, and closes follow-up items.Compliance mindset: Balances employee experience, policy, regulatory requirements, and business needs.Stakeholder partnership: Builds credibility across functions, levels, cultures, and geographies.Operational excellence: Maintains accurate data, documentation, controls, and service standards.Judgment and escalation: Distinguishes routine matters from issues requiring expert or leadership review.Continuous improvement: Identifies patterns, simplifies processes, and uses data to improve program outcomes.Measures of SuccessMobility cases are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with policy and legal requirements.Employees and managers receive clear, responsive, and consistent support throughout the mobility journey.Immigration expirations, payroll inputs, vendor actions, and other critical milestones are proactively managed.Case data, documentation, costs, and reporting remain complete, current, and audit-ready.Recurring issues are translated into practical process, policy, or vendor improvements. eTeam
