View our Experience: Role Overview Your role as Nordic Spa Maintenance Supervisor is critical to delivering on this promise. You will exceed guest expectations by creating “picture perfect” guest experiences. You will clean and maintain the facility throughout your shift in addition to operating the pools, saunas, steam rooms, pool deck and outdoor areas for safe guest use. Key Focuses Product knowledge of all pools, sauna, steam rooms and spa layout, amenities and emergency exits; understanding mechanical, electrical, fixture and equipment requirements. Collaborating across all spa departments to support each departmental maintenance program and execute daily, weekly and monthly checklists. Represent Alyeska Nordic Spa with the highest level of service excellence and be knowledgeable of the entire facility. Prevents minor maintenance issues from becoming major issues by promptly addressing all assigned maintenance work orders. Documents and maintains detailed records on all physical equipment, life safety systems and items requiring regular inspection. Reports/logs all maintenance issues immediately that are beyond the skill set of the employee to fix on their own. Completes washing schedules as assigned or outlined in daily checklists. Takes and tests water samples to monitor pool water chemistry and adjust to maintain quality standards. Checks that the pool filtration system is in good working condition at prescribed times throughout the shift. Maintains a safe and clean pool deck; cleans, clears and maintains all outdoor walkways, pathways and green spaces. Is aware and vigilant to protect themselves, employees, guests and the property against safety hazards; takes responsibility for following up on repairs or solutions and their execution. Completes assigned tasks in a manner that does not usually require follow‑up, both in terms of timeliness and quality. Demonstrates pride in work by creating positive energy, teamwork, excitement and fun. Contributes to a collaborative workplace, supporting the spa value of community, common goals and acceptance. Completes work processes and checklists seamlessly to support the spa value that we respect our guests’ inherent desire to be at peace. Education & Experience Previous spa or hospitality experience preferred. First aid certificates (including CPR) preferred. Excellent guest service, communication and organizational skills. Able to lift, move and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly. Passion for people and wellness. Ability to focus on attention to detail, remaining professional and courteous at all times. Must be highly self‑motivated. Must be highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment and complete many diverse tasks concurrently. Working Conditions This position operates in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with frequent interaction with guests, team members and other stakeholders. Because the resort operates 365 days a year, this position will require you to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays and may involve extended hours during periods of high business demand. A significant portion of the role is performed outdoors in the fresh mountain air, with exposure to a wide range of weather conditions, including temperatures from ‑22°F to +86°F. The position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling, as well as occasional use of ladders, stairs or ramps.
