Salary: $25-$35/hr.

Position Overview:

The Heavy Equipment Operator must operate a variety of heavy equipment safely and effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:

• CDL A class driver license in good standing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment (dozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, excavators, grinders, compactors) efficiently and safely.
• Produce a consistent quality product with no customer complaints.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and transportation to ensure necessary equipment, fuel, tools, and materials are available.
• Work directly with Heavy Equipment Shop to ensure all equipment is operating at a safe level.
• Perform manual labor when necessary.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment at the start and end of shift.
• Clean off machines inside and out daily (tracks, cab, lift arms, battery boxes, buckets).
• Ensure equipment is fueled and serviced daily.
• Complete daily equipment inspection sheet
• Complete daily labor/equipment log/form

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk or hear; frequently required to sit; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms.

• Employee will be required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk during entire shift, as well as continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and occasionally lift over eighty (80) pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to focus.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an outdoor environment with above average noise levels.
