Job TitleSupports internal and external customers through delivery of various materials that aid in assembly of machine or service of equipment.Scope and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties include, but are not limited to the following:Primary Responsibilities Include:Proactively maintains a safe and healthy work environment for all employeesReceiving, storing, and picking parts for internal and external customersMonthly cycle counting of inventoryPicking hardware for internal and external customersSafe handling and protection of parts to assure no damageWithdraw parts from stock, organize and deliver to shop floor in support of machine build cycles and/or aftermarket workInspect packaging as it is received from vendors to assess damage and notify supervisor as neededAdditional Responsibilities consist of:Will be trained as a backup for the carpenter, painter, and crane operator positionsDue to company needs, Technician may be required to come during off shifts to provide support for the needs of departments.Maintain clean and orderly work areaAbility to represent the business in a positive manor with suppliers and customersPerforms other related duties as assignedEducation/CertificationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training.Skills RequiredForklift certificationOverhead crane certificationMaintain administrative recordsAbility to read and interpret packing slips and parts listsFamiliar with electronic business systems (SAP, HK, etc.)Basic Microsoft Word skills required. Microsoft Excel a plusStrong communication skills – both written and verbalCreative problem-solving skillsStrong, self-directed, independent work ethicAbility to work off shift as requiredAbility and willingness to mentor/instruct employees on proper part handling with an emphasis on safetyAbility to interpret supervisor's priorities to get jobs done on time and make recommended changes to schedule if requiredAbility to interface with multiple areas on the shop floor without supervisor assistance
