Harvest Healthcare Solutions is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Caregivers / Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in Yuba City as On-Call Respite / Recuperative Caregivers .
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys picking up weekend shifts, wants flexible supplemental income, or has a schedule that allows them to provide care on an as-needed/on-call basis.
We are especially looking for Respite / Recuperative Caregiver candidates who are available for weekends and occasional short notice shifts.
What You'll Do
As a Respite / Recuperative Caregiver , you will provide supportive, person-centered care to individuals who may need assistance with daily activities, recovery, safety, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing compassionate, respectful, and individualized care
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) as appropriate
- Supporting clients with personal care, meals, mobility, and household routines
- Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
- Monitoring client safety and reporting concerns appropriately
- Supporting individuals during recuperation or periods when their regular caregiver is unavailable
- Following individual care plans and agency policies
- Maintaining professional boundaries and client confidentiality
- Documenting services and reporting changes in condition or needs
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and the care team
- Providing support to families and caregivers when needed
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, personal care, home care, DSP, respite, or a related human-services role
- Dependable and responsible
- Ability to work independently while following a care plan
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to supporting others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background screening and onboarding requirements
Weekend & On-Call Availability Is a PLUS!
This position is particularly well suited for:
- Caregivers looking for weekend hours
- DSPs wanting to pick up additional shifts
- CNAs or home-care professionals seeking flexible work
- Parents or professionals with a flexible schedule
- Individuals looking for supplemental income
- Experienced caregivers who prefer an on-call/as-needed schedule
The more flexible your availability, the more opportunities there may be to pick up available shifts.
