Date: May 19, 2026 General Overview Functional Area: OPS - Operations Career Stream: OPS - Operations Role: General Manager 1 Job Title: Site General Manager 1 Job Code: GM1-OPS Band: Level 13 Direct/Indirect Indicator: Indirect Detailed Description Manages all functions including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain with a strong focus on quality and inventory and materials management. Manages dotted line relationships with Finance, Human Resources, IT, and other support functions. Provide functional direction to all indirect areas supporting site business. Manages the facility with responsibility for the operations of the building including maintenance, security, safety, cleanliness, etc. Manages transitions to new scales of operations. Manage New Product Introductions and Product Transfers. Understands the business opportunities or conditions that drive high utilization for the facility and using the appropriate judgement to make the right selection. Balances the creation of an empowered culture with the need to follow up closely enough to ensure high standards of execution. Instills in the management team a focus on Operations Excellence through flawless execution i.e., detail and discipline in an environment of increasing complexity by utilizing World Class Manufacturing practices and 6 Sigma quality initiatives. Applys best practices aligned to the appropriate operations model(s) for the facility. Know and Grow the Business - Understands the trends, challenges and changes in the industry. Knows the major competitors and how they position themselves. Is opportunistic in taking advantage of new markets, tools, technologies and processes for competitive advantage. Can lead new business units from concept to production Customer Focused - Operates as an extension of the customer’s organization. Physical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment or manufacturing floor Likely there will be a significant amount of travel between customer and Celestica locations Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines Typical Experience Twelve plus years of relevant experience Typical Education Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
