Equipment Operator

Salisbury, MD | Full-Time | Hourly

About the Role

Denali Water Solutions is hiring an Equipment Operator to support daily facility operations in Salisbury, Maryland. You’ll operate tractors, loaders, forklifts, and other equipment; move and load materials; maintain the site; and help keep equipment in working order.

This is a hands-on, outdoor role for someone who is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and pitching in with general labor. Weekend work, overtime, and schedule changes may be required based on operational needs.

This is a safety-sensitive position. Every employee is expected to stay alert and work with care for their own safety and the safety of others.

What You’ll Do

• Operate tractors, loaders, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment around the facility.
• Load and unload trailers, trucks, and customer vehicles.
• Inspect assigned equipment before and after use, and report concerns promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance, including fluid checks, greasing, and filter changes.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and complete minor repairs to small engines, tractors, trailers, and production equipment.
• Assist with trailer lights, tires, wiring, and other basic repairs.
• Help with shoveling, raking, sweeping, lifting, and site cleanup.
• Keep work areas clean and organized while following company safety procedures.
• Take on other operational duties as needed.

What You’ll Need

• Experience operating tractors, loaders, forklifts, or similar equipment.
• Working knowledge of small engines, preventive maintenance, and basic trailer repairs.
• Ability to identify mechanical problems and complete minor repairs.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly and perform physical work involving bending, climbing, shoveling, and extended periods of standing.
• Willingness to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud, and dust.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Experience with farm equipment, agriculture, construction, welding, fabrication, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, or heavy equipment maintenance is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture, construction, or similar outdoor industrial environments.
• Basic welding or fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and heavy equipment maintenance.
