Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location: City, State

Shift: Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (12:00 PM - 12:30 AM)

Description: We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position is designed to provide high-quality care for patients in an emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.
• Utilize Epic charting software to document patient interactions and interventions.
• Manage the care for patients with diverse medical issues, including trauma and critical conditions.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute care hospital. Community hospital experience preferred.
• Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS required. Additional certifications such as CPI, MAB, OCN, and TNCC are preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in critical care skills including arterial line management, bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP), management of ventilated patients, and administration of blood products.
• Patient Ratios: Experience with patient care ratios of 1:4.

Work Schedule:

Weekends may exceed every other to meet unit needs. Must be open to working during 3 of the 5 major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Additional Information:

• Orientation Hours: 36 hours
• Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Social Services.
• Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities as required.
