Copywriter

Job Description The Copywriter (CW) works collaboratively with the copy team on brands and is responsible for researching, creating, and writing copy that reflects the client’s strategy. The CW will support the generation of unique and innovative materials for brand(s)/client(s) and develops text from draft stage through final copy. Tasks include revising/writing manuscripts, references, annotations, and client medical, legal, or regulatory submissions. Responsibilities Conduct research, analyze and interpret data from clinical studies, presentations, and published papers. Create copy content for assigned projects that is on strategy and uses original, compelling, distinctive language that is synergistic with art/graphic. Perform proofing and editing on all copy, paying strict attention to details of copy/art agreement. Understand and implement agency/client review and routing systems; revise agency copy, identify problems or inconsistencies, and resolve issues with supervisor/account services. Logically organize materials from a range of sources to create a compelling narrative/story flow. Collaborate with Editorial, Account, Strategy, and Project Management departments. Communicate with team members regarding deadlines, revisions, quality control, and new work. Work with Art Directors to support creative approaches to brand communication. Proactively bring new ideas and suggestions for personal career growth and team dynamics. Understand the creative brief and its role in creative evolution, taking client feedback into account. Understand marketing plans, including objectives, strategies, and how success will be measured. Provide innovative ideas appropriate to client marketing, strategy, and audience needs. Demonstrate attention to detail and an organized daily approach. Complete timesheets, expenses, and all other administrative duties accurately and on time. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field. Experience: 1+ years in Marketing/Advertising business with a portfolio demonstrating strong and consistent writing ability. Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams); strong written and verbal communication. Competencies Communication: Attentive and expressive of ideas accurately and clearly. Additional Information For Specialty Functions Understand marketing plans, referencing, fact checking, and agency process. Understand basics of managed markets and healthcare ecosystem. Work with clinical data and health economics data.
