About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics (CVPICU/Cardiac Stepdown)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a CVPICU and Cardiac Stepdown unit setting
• Deliver patient care across assigned units, with floating to different units as needed based on staffing and unit demands
• Work every other weekend as part of the expected schedule, subject to change based on unit needs and approved time off
• Maintain compliance with all facility-specific traveler requirements and unit protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes in a high-acuity pediatric environment

Required Qualifications

• Ohio State Respiratory Therapist license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory/manager references required at time of submittal; at least one reference must hold a manager or supervisor title (charge nurse references may count as only one of the two)
• Must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
• Must be prepared to float to different units as required throughout the assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Approximately 2 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Prior experience in a CVPICU, cardiac, or high-acuity pediatric setting
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying unit environments and patient populations
