Patient Care Coordinator

We're hiring a Patient Care Coordinator for our dental office in Mission, KS. $22–$26/hour, full-time, Monday through Friday. A lot of front desk roles come with a phone, a chair, and not much explanation. We wanted to be clearer than that. We're a two-location, doctor-owned dental group in Kansas City — six doctors, about 30 team members, not part of a corporate chain. Our standard is high hospitality, high-tech dentistry, high standards. We've earned a 5-star Google rating across more than 900 reviews by taking that seriously, and the Patient Care Coordinator is the first person every patient meets. This seat sets the tone for the entire visit. What the day looks like: Greeting patients by name, handling check-in and check-out, and keeping forms and histories current Owning the phone: answering calls, running confirmation calls two days out, and responding to patient messages through our phone system as well as our CRM software. Building a productive block schedule — placing the right procedure in the right slot, protecting procedure blocks, filling openings when they come up, and getting the next visit on the books before a patient leaves Collecting payment and walking people through treatment costs clearly Coordinating lab cases and inbound and outbound referrals so nothing sits waiting Practicing unreasonable hospitality: seasonal decorating, a reception area that is genuinely welcoming, and the instincts of a great host who notices what people need before they ask. Those 900+ five-star reviews were earned one patient interaction at a time, and you'll have a direct hand in protecting and growing that Supporting insurance verification and new patient documentation What we're looking for: genuine warmth with people, strong follow-through, and comfort learning new technology. A year or more in a dental or medical office is preferred, along with familiarity with insurance and patient balances. That said, we'll seriously consider strong candidates from hospitality, retail management, or service backgrounds. We can teach dental. We can't teach caring or attention to detail.
