Schedule: Multi-day assignment (September 8 at 7:00 AM through September 11 at 5:00 PM). Onsite weekday coverage Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call responsibility during weekday evenings (5:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and weekends (Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM). Moderate call volume with STEMI activations averaging less than every other day; phone consultation more frequent than emergent callbacks.

• Average of 2+ inpatient admissions per physician daily; potential for limited rounding responsibilities
• STEMI call aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage; 159 activations in 2024 with 47% cancellation rate
• Work alongside experienced interventional cardiology teams currently covering the facility
• EPIC electronic medical record system
• Emergency or temporary privileges expedite credentialing process; facility provides reimbursement for flight, hotel, and rental car

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology required
• Active Virginia state medical license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Proficiency in balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasty, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), heart catheterization, coronary angiograms, embolic protection, carotid artery stenting, and atherectomy
• Clean malpractice history required
• Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (within 30 days)
• Must be available for full assignment dates with no exceptions
