Role Description The Accountant at Fastboy Marketing is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing regular financial reports. The Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and credit card statements, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes. The role includes preparing budgets and forecasts, monitoring expenses, and supporting management with financial analysis to guide business decisions. The Accountant will also help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, while collaborating with other departments and external auditors or tax professionals as needed. Qualifications Solid understanding of general accounting principles, including GAAP, and experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), Microsoft Excel, and basic financial modeling or data analysis tools. Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. Ability to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, and to provide clear financial insights to non-finance stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and documentation, and effective organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and interact professionally with clients and vendors. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (such as CPA or CMA) is a plus.
