Freelance Startup Media Creator Tranquility is looking for freelance media creators who can help startups turn their ideas and key moments into engaging video content. This is not a traditional behind the camera videography role. We are looking for creators who can develop ideas, capture content, work directly with startup teams, confidently appear in videos when the project calls for it, and own production through final delivery. What You’ll Do You’ll work on paid, project based opportunities with startups and growing companies. For each project, Tranquility provides a clear statement of work, creative requirements, and access to the client, event, or location. You are responsible for executing the production from capture through final delivery. Depending on the project, you may: Create social first video content for startup clients Work with founders and teams to bring creative concepts to life Capture content at offices, events, product demos, launches, and conferences Appear in videos, conduct interviews, or lead conversational content on camera Record the footage and audio needed to fulfill the agreed statement of work Edit and deliver the final content according to the project requirements Complete revisions included in the agreed project scope Help translate complex products and ideas into content that feels natural and engaging Who We’re Looking For You may be a strong fit if you: Have experience creating short form video content from capture through final edit Are confident and natural in front of the camera Are comfortable independently filming and editing your own content Understand what makes social first video engaging Can work professionally with founders, teams, and clients Can follow a statement of work and deliver against clear creative requirements Can take creative direction while bringing your own ideas to a project Have a portfolio or examples of video content you’ve created Have your own equipment for high quality mobile video production , such as a modern smartphone, wireless microphones, Osmo Pocket 3, or comparable set up You do not need to be an influencer or have a large personal following. We care about your ability to create strong content, communicate naturally on camera, and take ownership of a project from capture through final delivery. How Projects Work This is paid freelance work performed on a contract basis. You set your own rates and tell us what types of projects you are comfortable taking on. You will always have the opportunity to review the scope before deciding whether a project is a fit. When you accept a project, Tranquility provides the statement of work, creative direction, client context, and access needed to execute successfully. You are responsible for completing the agreed production from recording through editing, delivery, and any revisions included in the project scope. There is no expectation that you post, promote, or endorse the content on your personal social media accounts. You are being hired to create content for Tranquility clients, not to provide access to your personal audience. Location This posting is based in Austin, but we are building a national creator network and are also actively recruiting in: Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Austin, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Nashville, Raleigh, Tampa, Chicago, New York City, and Washington, DC. You do not need to live in Austin to apply, but you must currently be based in the United States and available for on location projects in at least one of the markets we serve.
