Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Position Overview Mobile Truck and Trailer Technician responsible for maintenance and repair of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. Responsibilities Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc. Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections. Repair/replace vehicle/trailer components. Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device. Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck. Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred. Communication skills. Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed. Valid driver’s license required. Self‑motivated with excellent organization and planning skills. Ability to utilize a computer or tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses. 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections. 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education. Basic computer skills. Must possess proper tools. Preferred Qualifications High school education or equivalent. Certifications are a plus. Welding experience. Working conditions: Working in the outdoors. Working under extreme weather conditions. Extreme heat/cold/humidity. Incentives Performance‑based incentives: technicians are eligible for a productivity and efficiency incentive program. Incentives are paid weekly, allowing technicians to earn additional compensation throughout the month.
