IT Technician

Our Information Technology Department plays a vital role in maintaining our cutting-edge technology infrastructure and supporting all aspects of our operations.

As the IT Support Technician, you are an essential member of the team. You will provide exceptional customer service and technical support to our employees, resolving hardware and software issues in our corporate offices and retail stores. Customer service is a key asset to this position and your success.

This position is fully on-site, headquartered in Bridgeport, CT with travel required to stores throughout CT. Availability to support rotating on-call rotation is required.

Essential Functions:

• Provide timely first-level support for operational and POS issues in person, by phone, and via remote access.
• Assist in resolving technical computer and equipment problems.
• Log, track, and document all reported issues and resolutions in the Helpdesk system.
• Execute assigned IT projects, including installation, implementation, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain IT documentation, and record and track all IT assets.
• Verify that completed work meets company standards, including proper testing and user training.
• Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation.
• Must have a valid driver's license and daily use of a reliable, insured vehicle for frequent travel to retail stores throughout Connecticut.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related role; retail or POS support experience a plus.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including phone support and active listening.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, network infrastructure) and troubleshooting.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, Office apps, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Solid knowledge of major desktop and mobile operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Apple iOS, and Google Android.
• Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration, with the ability to work without direct supervision.
• Keeps current with the latest technologies and best practices.
• Valid CT Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
