JOB DUTIESDeliver instruction for continuing nursing education in care of the forensic patientCommunicate effectively with students and those affiliated with the course, including health professions program coordination staff.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in forensic nursing to keep course content relevant.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver engaging, comprehensive lesson plans in forensic nursing, including didactic and lab education.Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation and interpersonal skills development.Offer academic support and mentorship to students to help them succeed in their educational and career goals.Evaluate and document student progress through assessment and evaluation of clinical competencies to determine whether each student has completed course satisfactorily.Obtain official student feedback through a formalized course evaluation.Maintain required licensure and continuing education requirementsAssist in preparing materials for accreditation reports, as needed.Collaborate with the Health Professions Program Coordinator.Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneBenefits ConditionsAbility to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting including the ability to lift 50 pounds. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
