Location The Hazelwood Center, 1800 Old Bluegrass Ave. Louisville, KY 40215 Expected hours/ Position Type - Full Time Position, Typical hours for this position are 6P-6A Required Education and Experience Must possess an Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing and a valid Registered Nurse license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or a state Nursing Board in the “Compact State Agreement”. Essential Functions Under the supervision of a Nursing Supervisor, perform nursing duties in the care of ill or injured clients, performs nursing assessments. Supervises licensed practical nurses in executing physicians' orders and proper nursing procedures. Administration of medications via feeding tube, PO, or IV. Administers injections. Responds to facility emergency codes. Serves as a member of the client's treatment team, investigates and reports on unusual incidents involving client care. Reports clients' abnormal physical and mental reactions to the physician. Performs nursing assessments on new admissions. Interacts with clients and families and explains treatment. Supervisory Responsibility This position requires supervision of LPNs.
