Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), every other weekend Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient RN telemetry experience License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Acute care nursing experience Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe and effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes their own development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. The RN has the responsibility to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies their educational and professional experiences in delivering quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities: Performs assessments and reassessments as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care, and reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patients, and families. Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions. Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs. Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor/preceptor. Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and implements practice changes. Complies with regulatory standards. Participates in the governance model.
