Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
The MICU RN is responsible for providing specialized intensive care to critically ill patients in the medical ICU, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety. The role requires adapting to dynamic clinical situations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced patient care and monitor vital signs in the ICU setting.
• Evaluate patient conditions continuously and respond appropriately to changes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress, treatments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to compliance standards by maintaining necessary certifications and licenses.
• Float within scope to other ICU or similar units as needed, following facility protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina or Compact nursing license prior to start date.
• Possess at least 1 year of ICU experience, preferably 2 years.
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
• Be willing to work 3x12 night shifts including holiday rotation.
• Comply with travel eligibility requirements, including SSN verification and RTO submission.
