Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer Duration: 18 Monnth W2 Contract Location:Jersey City | New York City Required Pay Scale: $75-$88/hour Senior Full Stack Developer - Banking / Capital MarketsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with 7+ years of full-stack development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Java and Python . The ideal candidate will have a strong background developing enterprise technology solutions within banking, capital markets, investment banking, market risk, trading, or regulatory environments . Candidates should have direct experience with FRTB (Fundamental Review of the Trading Book) programs, including market risk systems, capital calculations, regulatory reporting, or related regulatory implementations. Design, develop, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications using Java and Python. Build and integrate backend services, REST APIs, databases, and web applications . Develop scalable and high-performance solutions supporting business-critical financial applications. Collaborate with Front Office, Market Risk, Quantitative Risk, Finance, Technology, and Regulatory stakeholders. Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions and production-ready applications. Contribute to FRTB-related technology initiatives , including market risk calculations, capital requirements, regulatory reporting, and risk data processing. Develop and maintain APIs and services supporting financial and risk-management platforms. Work across application, service, and database layers to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance. Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment. 7+ years of Full Stack Development experience . Strong hands-on development experience with Java and Python . Experience developing across multiple layers, including: Backend services REST APIs Databases Web applications Strong experience working within banking, capital markets, or financial-services technology environments . Experience in one or more of the following areas: Investment Banking Market Risk Trading Regulatory Technology Risk Management Capital Markets Direct FRTB experience is required , including exposure to: FRTB programs and implementations Market risk systems Capital calculations Regulatory reporting Trading-book risk Regulatory technology implementations Experience integrating Java and Python services within enterprise financial platforms. Experience with large-scale, distributed financial applications. Understanding of market-risk processes and regulatory capital requirements. Experience working with Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Regulatory stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
