You'll play a key role supporting construction and operations for regulated energy assets, while leading a procurement team and influencing sourcing strategy, cost savings, and supplier performance. The role offers strong visibility, cross-functional exposure, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a complex, asset-heavy environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead procurement activities supporting construction and operational requirements through competitive bidding and direct negotiation.
  
  
• Supervise and guide a team of sourcing specialists and expeditors (full-time and contract).
  
  
• Process and oversee purchase orders and procurement transactions within an Oracle-based financial system.
  
  
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, blanket orders, and long-term agreements to reduce total cost of ownership.
  
  
• Challenge vendor cost increases and ensure quality, delivery, and service standards are met.
  
  
• Partner with Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams to resolve material availability issues and identify suitable alternates.
  
  
• Support procurement system functionality, troubleshooting, enhancements, testing, and user training.
  
  
• Develop and monitor supplier performance metrics and KPIs.
  
  
• Assist with departmental budgeting, goal setting, and execution reporting.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  
  
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to cost savings, processes, and service levels.
  
  
• Support surplus equipment disposition through competitive bidding or direct negotiations, as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  
  
• 5-10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, or supplier relationship management.
  
  
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
  
  
• Experience supporting interstate natural gas pipelines or midstream energy operations strongly preferred.
  
  
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  
  
• Proficiency with Oracle EBS and Microsoft Office.
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  
  
• Mechanical, structural, or electrical knowledge and familiarity with pipeline operations is a plus
