Sakina Mind Behavioral Health is a well-established outpatient mental-health practice led by Dr. Syeda N. Sultana, M.D., Dual Board-Certified Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist , serving Florida patients since 2005.

Our practice provides psychiatric care to children, adolescents and adults , with an Orlando office and telepsychiatry services extending throughout Florida.

After serving more than 10,000 patients , we are continuing to grow our clinical team and are seeking two outstanding psychiatric providers who are passionate about patient care and interested in building a long-term professional relationship with an established behavioral-health practice.

1. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner — PMHNP-BC

We welcome experienced psychiatric providers and will consider qualified newer graduates who demonstrate strong clinical preparation, professionalism, compassion and a commitment to learning.

JOB OVERVIEW

This is an outpatient psychiatric position providing evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and medication management for a diverse patient population.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative environment with the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with an experienced Dual Board-Certified Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist .

The position offers flexibility, professional growth and an established patient population.

Experience with children and adolescents is highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The psychiatric provider will:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
• Perform mental-health assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medication management.
• Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects and clinical response.
• Provide appropriate patient and family education.
• Treat a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral-health conditions.
• Maintain accurate, timely and clinically appropriate documentation.
• Coordinate care with the psychiatrist and other members of the healthcare team.
• Communicate appropriately with patients, families and referral sources.
• Utilize electronic health-record systems efficiently.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Participate in telepsychiatry and/or in-person care as appropriate.
• Maintain professional standards of care and continuing education.

These assessment tools are intended to assist the clinical intake and evaluation process. They do not replace formal neuropsychological testing when such testing is clinically indicated.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Current PMHNP-BC or PA-C credential appropriate to the position.
• Active Florida professional license or eligibility to obtain/maintain Florida licensure.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration, as applicable to the position.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work professionally and collaboratively.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to work with electronic health-record systems.

Preferred

• At least 1 year of psychiatric experience .
• Experience in outpatient psychiatry.
• Experience treating children and/or adolescents.
• Experience treating adults.
• Experience with medication management.
• Telepsychiatry experience.
• Experience working with patients with developmental disabilities or complex behavioral-health needs.
• Familiarity with Practice Fusion and/or TheraNest .
• Trauma-informed-care experience.
• Experience with behavioral-health assessment tools.
• Bilingual communication skills.

Spanish-speaking candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

COMPENSATION

Estimated compensation: $120,000+ full-time positions , depending on experience, credentials, schedule, employment structure and productivity.
